There is this fascination among many footy fans about who has the biggest stadium by way of attendance throughout the football world. It's a long-standing fascination that has run for many decades.
 
However, there is also a broad fascination with which stadiums are the smallest, and so we thought we'd take a look across the EFL, and pick out its 5 smallest footy grounds (in capacity).  So, without further ado, here are the five smallest football grounds in the EFL...

Forest Green Rovers - The New Lawn (5,147)

The New Lawn, also known as The Bolt New Lawn for sponsorship reasons, is a football stadium in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire. It has been the home stadium of League Two club Forest Green Rovers since 2006. It has a capacity of 5,147.

Salford City – Moor Lane (5,108)

Moor Lane, known as the Peninsula Stadium for sponsorship purposes, is a football ground in the Kersal area of Salford, Greater Manchester, England, which has a capacity of 5,108 and is the home of Salford City Football Club. It is one of the newly renovated football stadiums in the EFL. 

Barrow – Holker Street (5,045)

Holker Street is a sports stadium in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, England. As well as being a football ground, it has also been used for motorcycle speedway. It once had some leisure centre facilities, including four squash courts, which have now been demolished. Despite its current capacity, some 16,874 people squeezed into the stadium in 1954 when Barrow played Swansea Town in the FA Cup third round.

Sutton United – Gander Green Lane (5,032)

Gander Green Lane, known for sponsorship reasons as the VBS Community Stadium, is a football stadium in Sutton, south London, and the home ground of Sutton United. The record attendance for Gander Green Lane is 14,000 when Sutton United lost 6–0 to Leeds United in the fourth round of the 1969–70 FA Cup.

Harrogate Town, Wetherby Road (5,000)

Wetherby Road i the home ground of Harrogate Town, with a capacity of 5,000. On one side is the modern looking Main Stand, which is called the Greene King IPA Family Stand. This covered seated stand comprises six rows of seating and runs for around half the length of the pitch. Opposite is the Envirovent Stand, which is a covered terrace that is mostly free of supporting pillars.
