6 Forgotten British Football Grounds That No Longer Exist

Through the years, football stadiums have come and gone. In today's times, more and more clubs are in need of keeping up to date with their rivals, so the need to keep modernising and rebuilding is absolutely essential for the progression of the club. We often look back at some of the now demolished classic stadiums with fond memories. Highbury, Maine Road, Highfield Road, and Roker Park are just a few of the classic old grounds that so many of the old school supporters miss. However, there are some old footy grounds that tend to get forgotten.
Here's a solid list of six now demolished stadiums that perhaps don't get mentioned as often as the like of Highbury and Maine Road:
Plough Lane (Wimbledon FC) - Wimbledon FC played at Plough Lane from 1912 to 1991 before relocating to Selhurst Park. The stadium has since been demolished.
The Vetch Field (Swansea City) - The Vetch Field was Swansea City Football Club's home stadium for many years. It held a special place in the hearts of Swansea fans.
Baseball Ground (Derby County FC) - The Baseball Ground in Derby served as Derby County's home ground from 1895 to 1997 before the club moved to Pride Park Stadium.
Burnden Park (Bolton Wanderers) - Burnden Park was the former home stadium of Bolton Wanderers Football Club. Located in Bolton, Greater Manchester, England, it served as the club's ground for over 100 years before its closure and eventual demolition.
